Bringing a little puppy into your life is a delightful experience, but it comes with the big responsibility of ensuring its healthy growth. Feeding a one-month-old puppy requires attention to detail and a good understanding of its nutritional needs.

Puppy Nutrition Basics

At one month old, a puppy is still very much dependent on its mother's milk for complete nutrition. However, if the puppy has been separated from its mother or if the mother's milk is insufficient, you'll need to step in with a suitable milk replacement. Look for a formula that's specifically designed for puppies and is as close as possible to the mother's milk in terms of nutritional content.

Frequency of Feedings

Puppies at this age have tiny tummies and can't eat a lot at once, so they need to be fed frequently. Aim for about four to five feedings a day, spread out evenly. This helps to mimic the natural nursing pattern and ensures the puppy gets the nutrition it needs without overfeeding.
