As a cosmetologist, I am used to handling clients with care and precision, but this was different—my client's dog had wandered in and out of the busy space, playfully darting between styling chairs. Amidst the buzz of blow dryers and the snip-snip of scissors, the dog slipped out an open door, and the realization hit me like a ton of bricks—I had lost someone's beloved pet.

The Immediate Response

The initial moments were a blur of panic and concern. I dropped everything, alerting my colleagues and the client about the situation. We all sprang into action, each of us taking different directions to search the neighborhood. The dog's owner was notified immediately, and the salon's atmosphere shifted from a place of beauty to one of urgency.
