Cat Contemplating壁 Errors: A Pensive Moment

Oh, sometimes you might see your feline companion leaning against the wall, and you might mistakenly think they're experiencing selfisolation or deep contemplation. But that's far from the truth! Besides resting their head against the wall, they might also use their nose or mouth to press or lean against it, or against some other fixed object, for more than a few minutes. This could be a sign that your pet is in extreme discomfort. In fact, this is how they silently send us a distress signal.

This behavior is known as "headpressing." When a cat engages in this action, it could indicate that there might be a tumor, inflammation, or infection in their brain. If your cat is showing such symptoms, it's important to conduct simple tests to observe their reactions. For instance, try giving commands they usually respond to and see if their response is the same as usual. If they seem to ignore commands they once understood, it's best to take them to the vet immediately.

Several conditions can cause a cat to exhibit headpressing symptoms, including brain tumors, epilepsy, hypoglycemia, poisoning, liver cirrhosis, brain nerve compression, parasitic brain infection, rabies, encephalitis, and nerve damage. For these diseases, seek medical attention promptly; online searches won't save you.

Besides health issues, some cats may feel a sense of dignity受损 after being shaved, and they might retreat to the wall to avoid others' eyes and not want to lift their heads to face people.

If your cat is constantly facing the wall for half an hour or more, and ignores you when you call, it's a clear sign that something is wrong.

Cats often exhibit quirky movements or behaviors, some of which are genuinely playful, while others might be symptoms of illness. Responsible cat ownership is not about following the crowd or copying others; it's about genuinely paying attention to your furry friend's needs.
