1. The Tongue

Cats, for instance, maintain their cleanliness independently. Their tongue is their most powerful tool for selfcleaning. 2. Saliva

Cats' saliva also plays a role in their hygiene routine. It has disinfectant properties that can neutralize unwanted odors from other animals or bacteria that may cause minor, nonthreatening harm. In the summer, cats can also use their saliva to help dissipate excess body heat that can accumulate due to an overabundance of fur.

3. Teeth

Cats' teeth are razorsharp, and a bite from one can necessitate a vaccine. However, their teeth are not just for protection; they also come into play when cats are grooming themselves. By biting, cats can kill large parasites on their bodies, or when they are infected with parasites and experience itchy skin, their teeth can provide relief by scratching away at the irritation and removing hair that has become stuck.

4. Claws

Cats' claws are both defensive and offensive weapons. Beyond that, when playing, if their bodies are covered in wild plants that their tongues and teeth cannot effectively remove, cats will often use their claws to clean themselves. They can detangle their fur and provide relief from itching, thereby defending and maintaining their personal hygiene.
