Difficulty Level: Easy
Preparation Time: Less than 10 minutes
Special Tools Needed: None
Main Ingredients: Duck leg meat, duck breast meat, duck heart, duck liver, eggs
Supplementary Ingredients: Taurine, Calcium Carbonate, Multivitamins, Salmon Oil, Probiotics, Vegetable and Fruit Puree, Alfalfa Powder, Seaweed Powder
Suitable for Ages: Over 1 month
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
Prepare 1 duck leg (approximately 500g in raw weight), 1 duck breast meat (about 200g), 80g of duck heart, and 30g of duck liver.
Step 2: Prepare the Ingredients
Cut the duck breast meat, duck heart, and duck liver into small cubes.
Debone the duck leg and cut into cubes.
Tips:
If your cat is on the slender side, you may retain half of the skin from the duck leg to add a bit of fat.
For cats with experience with raw bone meat, you can leave in the small bones from the duck leg to provide natural calcium.
Step 3: Add Supplements
Alfalfa Powder (5g): A natural enzyme that promotes digestion and urination, and is rich in vitamins.
Seaweed Powder (5g): Packed with minerals, it's a great supplement but may not be very palatable; add gradually.
Multivitamins: Add to compensate for vitamins lost in the meat; dosage varies by brand.
Vegetable and Fruit Puree (10g, 5%): Mimics the indigestible plants, vegetables, and fruits that cats' ancestors would have eaten in the wild; do not exceed 5% of the total ingredients.
Salmon Oil: Provides Omega3 and some vitamins; dosage varies by brand.
Taurine (5g, about 1%): Familiar to most, taurine is essential for preventing many diseases. It's watersoluble, so there's no risk of overdose; add as needed.
Calcium Carbonate (3g, about 0.6%): Necessary for calcium supplementation, especially since we're making a "deboned" version of raw meat. If the duck leg meat includes bones, you can reduce the calcium carbonate ratio.
Probiotics: A preventive supplement; as fresh meat naturally contains probiotics, additional supplementation can help maintain their numbers during storage.
Step 4: Mix Thoroughly
Stir the meat and supplements together until well combined. Add a little water if necessary.
Step 5: Serve
Portion out the amount your cat will eat at one time. The remainder should be portioned and frozen.
Note: This Fresh Bone Duck Rice is not only nutritious but also costeffective, making it an excellent choice for a cat's diet. Duck meat is highly palatable to cats, similar to chicken, and is wellreceived by most felines. This dish can serve as the sole nutritional source for your pet, providing a balanced and delicious meal.
