Cat Eye Discharge: Effective Eye Drops Treatment

When you notice a cat's eyes are producing puslike discharge, it's a clear sign of inflammation. This condition could be caused by a bacterial or viral infection, and it might also be related to internal eye parasites, allergic reactions, or irritation from foreign objects.

Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is sensitive to most Gramnegative bacteria, E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus, making it effective in alleviating conditions like conjunctivitis, keratitis, and blepharitis.

③ If your cat also exhibits symptoms like runny nose and sneezing, it might have been infected with feline rhinotracheitis. In this case, alternate the use of neomycin sulfate eye drops with ganciclovir eye drops, and complement the treatment with interferon, Kenojia (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium), and lysine tablets. If home remedies don't improve the situation, it's crucial to seek veterinary care promptly.

Ps: Feline rhinotracheitis is highly contagious. If you have other kittens at home, be sure to isolate them and thoroughly disinfect the environment.
