Effective Removal & Prevention of Fleas on Dogs: Tips &
Effective Techniques for Removing Fleas from Dogs
1. To safely remove fleas from your dog, you can apply alcohol to the affected area. This will cause the fleas to relax or even die. Once they are sufficiently relaxed, use a pair of finetipped tweezers to gently grasp the flea near its mouth, and pull it out quickly and firmly.
2. If a flea has bitten your dog's skin, avoid pulling it out forcefully. Instead, you can apply a drop of iodine or alcohol to the area, or use smoke to熏烤 the flea, which may cause it to detach naturally.
3. To alleviate pain and reduce swelling, gently apply soap or baking soda to the wound site.
4. Give your dog a bath using a special pet shampoo that you can purchase from a veterinary clinic, not a supermarket. Follow the instructions carefully, and ensure you bathe and comb your dog thoroughly.
5. Under no circumstances should you use laundry detergent! Laundry detergent is corrosive and will not relieve your dog's itching. In fact, it may make the itching worse and will not effectively clean your dog's body of dirt.
6. Fleas on a bloodsucking dog can be quite alarming. Do not attempt to manually remove them from your dog. It's best to purchase a deworming medication immediately and consult with a veterinarian for proper treatment.
7. It is not recommended to administer injections or medications to puppies. For any other concerns, please consult a veterinarian.
