Middle Stage: During the seizure, the dog will display uncontrollable convulsions, which can impair their senses and consciousness. This stage is characterized by abnormal facial movements, excessive drooling, and symmetrical limb movements.
Late Stage: After the convulsions subside, which can last from a few minutes to several hours, the dog may appear exhausted, disoriented, and may suffer from ataxia. This is the period when the dog is most vulnerable and requires your attention.

While it's distressing to witness a seizure, there are limited actions you can take as a pet owner.
During the Early Stage: It's crucial not to intervene with the dog's individual movements. Instead, remove any hard or sharp objects from the vicinity to prevent injury during the seizure.
During the Seizure: You can wrap the dog in a blanket for comfort. If possible, place a soft cushion under the dog's head to protect it from potential head injuries. If there's any vomit in the mouth, gently clear it away (be cautious not to get bitten) to prevent aspiration.
Document the frequency and specific symptoms of the seizure, and it's helpful to record a video for the veterinarian to better diagnose the condition.
After the seizure, when the dog is tired, confused, and scared, approach them slowly and speak softly to reassure them. Gently stroke their back to help them calm down from their state of panic.
