Cat Food Recipe: Chicken Liver Powder;

Preparation Method: Drying and Grinding into Powder;

Difficulty Level: Moderate;

Preparation Time: More than 10 hours;

Special Tools: None required;

Main Ingredient: Chicken Liver;

Additional Ingredients: None;

Suitable for Ages: Over 1 month;

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

Prepare 500g of fresh chicken liver for this recipe.

Step 2: Drying

Place the chicken liver in an oven at a temperature of 68°C for approximately 10 hours. Since chicken liver is quite soft, you'll need to place a grid silicone pad on the oven tray before placing the liver on top. However, the grid silicone pad can significantly hinder the drying process, so after about three to four hours, you can remove it to improve efficiency.

Step 3: Cooling

Once the moisture is completely dried out, the chicken liver should easily break apart with gentle pressure. Allow it to cool before placing it into the grinder.

Step 4: Grinding

After cooling, break the liver into pieces and add them to the grinder. It should take 35 minutes to grind the liver into a fine powder.

Step 5: Storage

Transfer the chicken liver powder into an airtight container and store it in a dry, cool place.

Step 6: Enjoy!

The chicken liver powder can be mixed with rice or kibble. A daily serving is about one spoonful (5g10g) for your feline friend.

Tips:

① The liver typically constitutes about 5% of a cat's main meal. While it's not recommended to overfeed, it's not easy to reach toxic levels. Since 500g of chicken liver yields only about 100g of powder, your pet should be fine with just a small spoonful of 5g or so daily.

② Your cat may love the taste, which might not be so appealing to humans, but there should be no adverse effects after consumption.
