Effective Treatments for Cat Drooling: Quick Solutions!
Causing cats to drool excessively, regurgitate, and have difficulty swallowing multiple times is a sign of a condition that is not necessarily food poisoning or a swallowed foreign object unless severe vomiting occurs.
Treatment for Stomatitis:
To cleanse and purify the mouth, use a mouthwash. Administer a 50mL intravenous injection of 5% glucose combined with 2mL of a vitamin B complex, once daily for three consecutive days. Additionally, give the cat oral Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium (Supron, at a dose of 20mg per kilogram of body weight) and Metronidazole (at a dose of 20mg per kilogram of body weight), twice daily for five days. To further the treatment, prepare a bag of traditional Chinese medicine Qingdai powder (consisting of equal parts of Qingdai, Huanglian, Huangbai, Bohe, Jiegeng, and Ercha) and place it inside the cat's mouth. Fit the cat with a muzzle to prevent it from spitting out the medicine, using one bag per day.

For stomatitis, the Qingdai powder (a blend of Qingdai, Huanglian, Huangbai, Bohe, Jiegeng, and Ercha) is used for diagnosis and treatment. Qingdai is known for its cooling and detoxifying properties, making it suitable for treating fiery sores and ulcers. It is often combined with Huanglian and Huangbai to achieve the effects of cooling dampness and expelling fire and toxins. Bohe and Jiegeng, with their ability to disperse windheat and reduce swelling and pus, complement the blend. Together, these herbs provide a cooling and detoxifying effect, as well as relief from swelling and pain. To prevent secondary infections at the site of redness and ulcers, Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium and Metronidazole are used to reduce inflammation and inhibit bacterial growth. The mouthwash helps suppress microbial fermentation, which can cause bad breath and excessive drooling.
