Poor pup has an upset stomach!

1. Cold and Fever

If your Corgi is suffering from diarrhea after spending long hours in an airconditioned room, it might be due to a cold or fever. Prolonged exposure to cold floors can also lead to loose stools. Rest assured, your furry friend doesn't necessarily need medication. Simply allowing your Corgi to sleep in its cozy doghouse and reducing its time in the AC can often cure the issue. However, if you're still concerned, you can offer your dog overthecounter cold remedies like Xiao Chaihu or Qingkailing, but make sure to give them in reduced doses to avoid adverse effects.

2. Bloating and Diet Changes

Bloating is often a result of your Corgi's overindulgence in food. Corgis are known for their greedy nature, often stuffing their faces with anything delicious. It's crucial for pet parents to regulate their Corgi's diet and prevent excessive eating. Additionally, sudden changes in food can also trigger diarrhea. In such cases, consider giving your Corgi probiotics and adjusting its diet to help restore balance.

3. Parasites

Should your Corgi suddenly develop diarrhea without any apparent reason, it might be due to internal parasites. Regular deworming both internally and externally can effectively address this issue. Alternatively, you can purchase deworming medication from a pet store, which should also be effective for your Corgi.

Important Tips

Besides these, gastrointestinal issues, parvovirus, or canine distemper can also cause diarrhea in Corgis. If you're unable to pinpoint the exact cause of your Corgi's diarrhea, it's best to consult a veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
