1. For bacterial infections, a course of antibiotics such as Amoxicillin, Chloramphenicol, Tetracycline, Enrofloxacin, and TrimethoprimSulfamethoxazole is typically prescribed for about a week.

2. In cases caused by viruses, the use of antiviral treatments like hightiter antiserum against Canine Distemper Virus (CDV), Canine Parvovirus (CPiV), Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV2), and specific antiviral drugs for CDV is recommended.

3. For cough management, anesthetic cough suppressants can effectively alleviate frequent and severe coughing. However, it is generally advised against using cough suppressants to treat pneumonia caused by bacterial infections.

4. Humidification therapy involves placing the dog in a steam bath, the effectiveness of which largely depends on the room temperature and the moisture content in the steam. Typically, moisture can only reach the nostrils and the upper part of the trachea, and usually does not penetrate deeply.

5. Nebulization therapy is a method for delivering moisture and medication to the deeper parts of the respiratory system, particularly useful for dogs with excessive mucus accumulation in the bronchi and bronchioles due to Bordetella bronchiseptica (Bb) infections, or those who do not respond to oral or injectable antibiotics. Nebulizers typically produce fine mist droplets that can be adjusted (droplet diameter 0.55 micrometers). Suitable singleuse nebulizers include 610 ml of sterile saline solution, administered for 1020 minutes per session, twice to four times daily, with medications like Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Polymyxin, and Benzathine to reduce Bb concentration and severity.

6. Bronchodilators are used primarily to prevent bronchospasm in dogs, thereby helping to alleviate coughing.

7. Corticosteroids: Corticosteroids at antiinflammatory doses have been reported to relieve coughs associated with Inflammatory Tracheobronchitis (ITB) without complications, with treatment typically limited to 57 days.

8. Adjunctive treatments include ensuring adequate heat and hydration, minimizing contact with other dogs, maintaining optimal temperature and humidity, preventing secondary infections, reducing stress and stimuli. A proactive approach is to perform appropriate deworming at the owner's home.

Thoroughly clean and disinfect the kennel and equipment using sodium hypochlorite, chlorhexidine, or benzalkonium chloride. Maintain maximum ventilation, with air changes every hour (1220 times per hour), and ensure continuous air circulation. Pay attention to staff hygiene and reduce the density of dogs.
