In contrast, lecithin is more focused on skin protection, addressing the root cause of shedding. Its effects are gradual, and it takes at least six months of consistent use to see results. This is why some people believe lecithin is ineffective.
When purchasing lecithin, opt for egg yolk lecithin rather than soy lecithin. The lecithin from Weilott is egg yolk lecithin, which is highly absorbable.
"Soy lecithin" is extracted from soybean oil using conventional separation techniques, containing 22% phosphatidylcholine. Soy lecithin has low activity, low purity, and is slow to absorb.
"Egg yolk lecithin" is extracted from animal embryo eggs using supercritical CO2 extraction technology, with a phosphatidylcholine content of 70% to 80%. Egg yolk lecithin is highly active, pure, and easily absorbed. Studies show that its absorption rate is five times higher than that of soy lecithin.
