Adorable Butterfly Dog Puppies: Unique Features & Cuten
Characteristics of a Young Pomeranian Puppy
1. Eyes
Pomeranian puppies have round, dark eyes that are not prominent, exuding a vigilant and alert expression. Like many other dogs, the edges of their eyes are also dark.
2. Ears
The ears of a young Pomeranian come in two shapes: one drooping and the other standing up. Both types of ears are large. The upright ears resemble the wings of a butterfly, flaring outwards. When the Pomeranian is on alert, its ears and head form a 45degree angle. The outer ear needs to be long enough to maintain an upright position. Drooping ears are similar to standing ears but hang down. If the ears are too small, too pointy, or if the ear roots are too high and the ears are standing up with a part drooping, the dog is not eligible for official dog shows.
3. Skull
The Pomeranian puppy has a small head with a moderate width and round ears. The angle of the eyebrows is very distinct. The snout is narrower than the head, gradually thinning towards the nose. The distance from the tip of the nose to the eyebrows is approximately onethird of the distance from the tip of the nose to the occiput.
4. Nose
The nose is small, with a round shape and a black color.
5. Lips
The lips of a Pomeranian are usually tightly closed.
6. Personality Traits
① Highly energetic. Pomeranian puppies love to jump around, which can make them prone to sprains or fractures. If the floor at home is slippery, it's especially important to be cautious about this. To prevent injuries, training should start from a young age, and the puppy should be discouraged from jumping on furniture like chairs, sofas, tables, and beds, as well as from jumping down from beds.
② Pomeranians have a strong territorial instinct and can be quite nervous, leading to a strong aggressive nature towards strangers or other dogs that intrude on their territory. When kept with dogs of other breeds, there is a risk of fights.
③ They are not good at finding their way and enjoy wandering around aimlessly, often being quite lazy.
④ Despite their flaws, Pomeranians are loyal, intelligent, and quick learners when it comes to training.
