Choosing the Right Spot for a Doghouse:

Generally, any room with windows that allows for good air circulation and insulation can be transformed into a doghouse with a little modification. Opting for a location on a sunny, windprotected slope is even more ideal. The construction materials for a doghouse should ideally be bricks and cement for the structure, with steel and wood for the doors and windows. This ensures both strength, stability, and safety, as well as resistance to your dog's chewing, making it easy to clean and maintain.

1. Gather an old cushion and use the filling inside. You can find this type of filling at the market, usually priced around 8 to 10 yuan per pound, and a large amount can be purchased for quite a reasonable price.

2. Prepare two pieces of fabric, which can be the same or different. These are leftover pieces of fabric that you've collected over time, approximately half a meter wide.

3. Use the largest bowl in your home to draw an inner circle. Then, find a piece of cardboard and cut out a large circle of the desired size along the edge of the circle.

4. After drawing the large circle, it's time to cut. Remember to cut two pieces of fabric at once. If you're worried about cutting them incorrectly, simply sew them together for a temporary fix.

5. Cut the two pieces of fabric into sixteen equal parts, pressing the edge lines to create marks for later stitching. Also, cut out a cardboard circle of the same size as the inner circle.

6. Now, it's time to start sewing. Begin by sewing around the inner circle, inserting the cardboard circle halfway through. Continue sewing until about threequarters of the way, adding the filling as you go. The amount of filling to add is up to personal preference.

7. There are 16 lines to sew on the outside, which will create 16 small pockets. If you find this process too cumbersome, you can skip the 16 pockets and simply fill them. When adding the filling, it will naturally stand up. When sewing, pull the threads slightly tighter and adjust the shape for a more attractive look. Since this is handsewn, you can use larger needle holes to create a zigzag pattern, similar to a sewing machine's stitching.
