Immediate First Aid Measures:
Car Accident: Should you witness Xiao Xue being involved in a collision with evident signs of injury or limping, it's crucial to act quickly. If necessary, apply a bandage to prevent further injury. For any area that's actively bleeding, apply a cold compress and gentle pressure to stop the bleeding, while ensuring Xiao Xue remains warm and comfortable. Next, contact a veterinarian for professional guidance, and finally, transport Xiao Xue to the hospital.
Eye Injury: If Xiao Xue suddenly experiences severe pain in one eye or is unable to open it, carefully inspect for foreign objects, such as glass shards or small stones. Gently rinse them away with clean water. If medical attention is not immediately available, you can drop a few drops of medicalgrade olive oil into the eye. Prevent Xiao Xue from scratching its eye with its paw.
Foot Injury: In case of heavy bleeding, wrap the foot with a cloth and secure it tightly with a bandage. Then, promptly take Xiao Xue to the hospital.
Poisoning: If Xiao Xue shows signs of an acute illness, fainting, or muscle spasms after ingesting known toxins, immediately induce vomiting by pouring a saltwater solution (one spoon of salt to a cup of water) or raw egg whites down its throat; if corrosive substances have been ingested, give milk immediately. Rush Xiao Xue to the hospital without delay.
Choking: Puppies are particularly prone to choking on food, which can block the esophagus or trachea. If you see Xiao Xue frantically pawing at its neck and mouth, it may be choking. Gently tap Xiao Xue's back to help dislodge the food.
Shock: In the event of shock, regardless of the cause, immediate first aid is required before transporting Xiao Xue to the hospital. Xiao Xue may appear cold, with rapid breathing. Lay Xiao Xue flat and assist in slowing down its breathing. Perform artificial respiration by closing its mouth, blowing into its nostrils, and simultaneously pressing on the chest. Once there is some improvement, seek medical attention.
Motion Sickness: For Xiao Xue suffering from motion sickness, try to calm it down and allow it to gradually adjust. If traveling by car, maintain a steady speed and avoid sudden stops or sharp turns. Avoid eating or drinking before the ride.
