Causes of Anemia:

1. Hemorrhagic anemia can result from various factors such as trauma, surgery, gastrointestinal bleeding, urinary tract bleeding, and even external parasites that feed on blood.

2. Hemolytic anemia may stem from onion poisoning, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, or liver dysfunction caused by chemical substances.

3. Aplastic anemia is often due to nutritional deficiencies, though it can also be caused by pathological conditions. This includes a lack of essential components like iron, copper, amino acids, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and folic acid, which are necessary for red blood cell synthesis. This deficiency leads to a shortage of red blood cells and, consequently, anemia. Other causes include kidney disease, endocrine dysfunction, viral infections, tumors, or bone marrow disorders that impair the body's ability to produce blood cells.

Symptoms of Anemia:

The most noticeable symptom is paleness of the mucous membranes, which can be observed in areas such as the nose, mouth, eyelids, and vagina. Cats with anemia often exhibit a lack of energy, weight loss, decreased tolerance, excessive sleepiness, increased heart rate, and rapid breathing. While anemia due to poisoning or acute diseases may present suddenly, chronic anemia tends to develop over time, making it less immediately detectable. However, it can be effectively prevented by maintaining a balanced diet and regular deworming. For cases of anemia caused by diseases or poisoning, in addition to rapid nutritional supplementation, it is crucial to treat the underlying condition or detoxify the body. Subsequent to recovery, feeding highnutrient foods can help replenish the body's stores.
