As the disease progresses into the middle stage, both respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms intensify, leading to recurring high fevers. In the later stages of canine distemper, neurological symptoms may appear, such as unsteady walking, head tilting, mild paralysis, and partial or complete paralysis. The eyes may tremble, and it's often challenging to save dogs in this stage. Those who do recover may suffer from sequelae.
