Section 1: Bathing Concerns

Summertime heat can be oppressive, so it's advisable to keep the air conditioning running in your home. However, it's crucial to turn it off before and after giving your dog a bath to maintain a comfortable environment. Use lukewarm water, around 40 degrees Celsius, and opt for a shampoo specifically formulated for dogs. After bathing, immediately use a hairdryer to ensure your pet's fur is "completely" dried to prevent the growth of mites. If you've just brought a new dog home, it's best not to bathe them too frequently; once a week is sufficient. In winter, you can extend this to once a month unless the dog becomes particularly dirty.

Section 2: Feeding Guidelines

It's recommended to feed your dog commercial dog food, which is nutritionally balanced and supports their healthy growth and development. For a 2monthold puppy, be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overfeeding. Aim to feed your puppy three times a day with small amounts. By the time they're 4 months old, you can reduce this to two meals per day. When feeding puppy food, you can rehydrate it with warm water, but be cautious not to make it too salty. Remember, dogs have different tastes from humans, so avoid feeding them chocolate, onions, chicken or duck bones, and milk (which can cause diarrhea). Some dogs may also be allergic to seafood.

Section 3: Training Activities

1. Beagles are known for their love of chewing. To keep their teeth clean and healthy, provide them with dental toys and treats.

2. When your dog misbehaves, refrain from hitting or shouting at them. Instead, use a rolledup newspaper to gently swat the floor, which is less harmful yet still effective in conveying the message.

3. Dogs that play outdoors are naturally curious about food and may sniff and chew on anything. When taking your dog out, be vigilant to prevent them from coming into contact with other dogs' feces and urine, as many diseases are transmitted through these means.

Section 4: Care and Maintenance

1. Ensure your dog is uptodate on vaccinations, starting with the initial series and continuing with annual shots. Also, schedule regular deworming every quarter.

2. Regularly inspect and clean your dog's ears to maintain their hygiene.

3. Spend quality time playing with your dog often.
