It's important to note that tapeworms and coccidia require specific deworming medications, as the general dewormers you might find at the pet store are not effective against these parasites.

For treating tapeworms, metronidazole is commonly prescribed, and it should be administered for a full week. However, since tapeworms can often reoccur, it's advisable for pet parents to thoroughly sanitize their homes and ensure their cats don't drink from unclean sources, such as the bathroom.

Deworming medications can place a strain on the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal system, so it's recommended to pair them with补血肝精益生菌 (blood, liver, and vitality probiotics) to ease the burden slightly. (The feces of cats with coccidia often have a jellylike blood at the end, making them easy to identify.)

After a thorough examination, if your cat is experiencing regular diarrhea, there are several possibilities:

1. Overeating: Many cats suffer from diarrhea due to overeating, as their digestive systems can't handle the excess. In such cases, reducing their food intake and supplementing with probiotics can help. If diarrhea persists, consider purchasing a child's digestive liquid and giving it in small doses.

2. Food suitability: Is the food appropriate for your cat? Is it expired or has it become damp and moldy? During summer or rainy days, cat food can easily spoil and become moldy, which not only causes diarrhea but can also lead to liver and kidney failure, jaundice, and other serious issues. Therefore, pet parents must be vigilant about food quality.

3. Allergies to certain substances in the food: If this is the case, a blood test to check for elevated eosinophil counts can be helpful. Allergies often result in high eosinophil counts. Desensitization treatments can be administered, and a new diet should be introduced.

For general diarrhea, a probiotic like Saccharomyces boulardii is recommended, as it offers excellent longterm gastrointestinal support and is a musthave for cats with sensitive stomachs.

In cases of urgent diarrhea, a combination of Kletil peptide and Landce Weichang can be effective, providing quick relief with minimal side effects and reducing the risk of constipation.
