Section 1: Causes

Feline ringworm is primarily caused by fungal infections in the living environment. The presence of parasites can be attributed to contact with other cats suffering from the disease or from inadequate external deworming practices, which can lead to a proliferation of parasites and subsequent skin disorders.

Section 2: Symptoms

The symptoms of feline ringworm include severe itching, flaking of the skin, bald spots, hair loss, redness of the skin, and thickening of the skin.

Section 3: Treatment Methods

Begin by shaving the affected area and some of the surrounding fur. Use hot soapy water to soak and scrub the affected region to soften any hard crusts. Gently wipe the area with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to remove any scales or crusts from the affected area. Apply a medicated spray like Fenon Skin Disease Spray or a cream like Fenant Soft Cream to ensure the medication penetrates the skin directly. This direct application helps in treating the infection effectively.
