Effective Dog Disinfection Post-Walk Home Guide
Here's what you'll need to prepare:
Some nonwoven fabric (or kitchen paper towels)
A bottle of 75% alcohol
A container (such as a Lock & Lock box)
First, shape the nonwoven fabric to fit the size of your container. Place it evenly inside, then pour in the alcohol. After just 5 minutes, the alcohol will be fully absorbed by the fabric. Use as much as you need, and remember to close the lid after each use.
Worried about your dog licking their paws? Don't fret! After wiping their feet, simply watch them for 2 minutes, and the alcohol on their paws will evaporate completely.
Concerned that the alcohol might not be enough? No worries! You can pour as much as you need, and it's ready to use whenever you need it.
Looking for more ways to keep your dog's paws clean?
Firstly, it's important to know that things that make it easier for dogs to carry bacteria on their paws are called: paw fur.
So, should you trim your dog's paw fur regularly? Not exactly. While long paw fur can easily pick up dirt from the outside, completely shaving it off isn't great for your dog's feet. Paw fur can help reduce friction between the toes and prevent foreign objects from causing injury to the spaces between the toes.
Therefore, when trimming your dog's paw fur, just ensure that it doesn't extend beyond the center of the paw pad.
