As the scorching sun beats down, don't let your furry companions get bored with their simple water play. Let them unleash their natural instincts!

Many people assume that dogs are born swimmers, but just like humans, they need to learn. So, how do you teach a dog to swim?

When introducing your dog to the water for the first time, choose a safe and appropriate location, and always prioritize safety!

Don't force your dog into the water abruptly; instead, use toys to gently encourage them to practice in shallow waters.

Once your dog is calm and comfortable in the water, you can continue to guide them with toys to swim forward, helping them gradually get used to the sensation.

When your dog is completely at ease swimming, it's time to take them to deeper waters. Isn't it incredibly rewarding to see your dog master swimming?

【Important Notes】

1. Pug and Boxer Dogs

These breeds have a distinctive flat face and short nose, which can lead to breathing difficulties. Their short noses require them to tilt their heads back in the water to avoid呛水, causing their hindquarters to pull in and sink, making it hard for them to swim for long periods.

2. Bulldog

Similar to the Pug, Bulldogs have a short nose and flat face. Not only do they have to tilt their heads back, but their weight is a significant challenge for them.

3. Dachshund and Corgi Dogs

These breeds are lightweight with longer muzzles and short legs, which prevent them from becoming proficient swimmers.

Other breeds like the Maltese, Shih Tzu, Siberian Husky, and Pekingese are also not suitable for swimming. Always be cautious!
