1. PostSurgery Gastrointestinal Imbalance: After undergoing surgeries like the removal of rotting skin or shell, turtles can be vulnerable. Bacteria may invade and infect the deeper layers of their shell or skin, especially through the deep wounds left during the procedure. The turtle's weakened state postsurgery can lead to gastrointestinal imbalances, which in turn can cause vomiting.

Solution: In such cases, allow the turtle to rest and provide ample fresh water. Administer antibiotics like oxytetracycline to aid in treatment. Typically, the turtle's appetite should return within 1 to 3 days.

2. Extreme Temperature Differences in the Environment: Significant differences between water temperature and air temperature in the turtle's habitat, or improper temperature regulation when changing water, can shock the turtle's digestive system, leading to vomiting and potentially other respiratory issues like colds or pneumonia.

Solution: Maintain a consistent temperature of 30°C in the habitat, ensuring a stable environment. Encourage the turtle to rest and bask in the sun to promote metabolism and alleviate the symptoms.
