Effective Dog Diarrhea Treatment Remedies: Quick Relief
Dog diarrhea is often characterized by an increase in the frequency of bowel movements, with stools appearing loose and watery, resembling rice gruel. Sometimes, the feces may contain egglike lumps or appear yellowgreen. In other cases, the stool may be reduced in quantity, mixed with mucus and pus, and accompanied by abdominal pain and a sense of urgency to defecate.

The recommended treatment is "Xiaoyan Ning" (Diarrhea Calming Formula). The ingredients include 12g of raw gypsum, 9g of prepared plantago ovata seeds (saltfried), 6g of husk of husk, and 6g of licorice root. Additionally, 50g of glucose powder is taken orally. If the condition is exacerbated by cold and the intestines are particularly noisy, add 3g of prepared aconite and 6g of myrobalan. For cases with indigestible food, include 5g of chicken gizzards and 6g of yam.

Wrap the plantago ovata seeds in a cloth and simmer with the other herbs for 35 minutes while maintaining a gentle boil. Filter the mixture, then while it's still hot, add the glucose powder and stir until dissolved. The mixture should be taken warm, with one dose per day, divided into 2 to 3 servings.
