Eliminating Fleas from Your Dog: A StepbyStep Guide
1. Begin by organizing your clothing. Connect a large bucket to a water source, pour in a generous amount of laundry detergent, add some soap, and immerse all your clothes. Let them soak for 2 hours. Fleas are not waterresistant, so this duration should effectively kill any fleas on your garments. However, do not forget to remove any eggs from the mix.
2. Equip yourself with a mask, gloves, protective clothing, and flea insecticide spray. Be cautious when using the spray. Focus on areas with standing water, and pay extra attention to black spots, particularly around the edges of the bed, seams, and crevices where fleas often hide.
3. Remember to add salt when washing your clothes. A small amount of salt can help destroy flea eggs, and once washed, hang them out in the sun to blacken them, preventing any remaining flea eggs from hatching.
4. After applying the insecticide, close all doors and windows and wait for 3 hours before entering. During this time, thoroughly sweep the area to remove any flea obstacles. You'll notice a significant number of fleas on the ground.
5. Regularly clean your floors with disinfectant and spray the room with insecticide. After 2 to 3 hours, open the windows and doors to ventilate the space.
6. For your dog, consider washing it with medication once a week. After 2 to 3 washes, you can then bathe your pet with a fleaspecific shampoo. Regular bathing and sun exposure are also beneficial. In case of necessity, you can use a flea prevention collar or apply a specialized fleakilling spray to your pet.
