The formula is rich in therapeutic properties: Danggui (当归) promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis,芷白 relieves pain and expels pus, 血竭 not only promotes blood circulation and removes stasis but also promotes tissue regeneration, 甘草 acts as an antipyretic and detoxifying agent, 紫草 cools the blood and reduces swelling, and also eliminates dampness and detoxifies, 轻粉 has the function of degrading necrotic tissue and promoting tissue regeneration, and 白蜡 helps to stop bleeding and promote tissue repair.
This harmonious blend of herbs works synergistically to enhance blood circulation, alleviate heat and pain, and promote tissue regeneration. When applied topically as a gauze dressing, Yuhong Ointment can effectively drain exudate from the wound surface.
Modern pharmacological research has identified the presence of vitamins, Danggui extract, and unsaturated fatty acids within the formula, which can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus species. Application: Clean the affected area with physiological saline, then apply the ointment directly to the wound or spread it on a gauze pad. Apply once daily.
